It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Helen Appelhof of Selah, Washington, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gloria Helen had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Gloria Helen may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Chavez and Cecilia Chavez; her husband Donald Appelhof Sr.; and her brothers, Robert and Julian.
She is survived by: her brother Andrew; and her sons, Mike (Donna), Tony, David (Alisa), Donald (Jeannie) and Paul (Ashley). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keith & Keith Funeral Home (902 W Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Terrace Heights Memorial Park (3001 Terrace Heights Dr, Yakima, WA 98901).
