It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Rae Sutherland of Seattle, Washington, born in Drayton, North Dakota, who passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Virginia shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Virginia farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sutherland and Helen Sutherland; and her siblings, Jackie, Marilyn and Don.

She is survived by: her brother John Dyke Sutherland (Barbara).

Suggested donations: Class of 1958 Scholarship Fund at Sumner High School or the Sumner Food Bank.

I live in Iowa, but over the years I've been in email contact with some of my SHS 1958 classmates, wishing at times that I could have been there for lunch gatherings.
