He was predeceased by: his parents, Yiannis Makratzakis and Athena Makratzakis; and his siblings-in-law, Stamatios Palios and Harula Panos. He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Athena Dickerson (Andy), Costandina Herbert (Holger) and Demetre Makratzakis; his daughter-in-law Lindsey Richmond; his grandchildren, Jack, Maximilian and Sophia; his brother Demetre Makratzakis (Kiki) of Greece; his siblings-in-law, John Limantzakis (Polette), Stavros Panos, Stella Palios and Aspasia Voltsis (Jim); his pet Theo; and his caregiver Rod. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (2100 Boyer Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112).
