He was predeceased by: his father John David Gardner. He is survived by: his daughters, MacKenzie Gardner of Redmond and Mikella Gardner of Seattle; his stepson Kyle Selleck of Mill Creek; his mother Glenna Gail Gardner of Hoquiam; his siblings, Gail L. Gardner of Hoquiam, Cheryl L. Gardner of Hoquiam and John Gardner of Seattle; his nephew Scot Carmichael; and his niece Alicia Staten of Seattle.
