She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jack Gilmore and Donna Gilmore (Spokane); her siblings, Don Gilmore (Deer Park), Linda Chappell (late Spokane) and Ed Gilmore (late Spokane); her children, Max Cael (Seattle) and Lindsay Cael (Seattle); her son-in-law Saurabh Deshpande; and her grandchildren, Isha and Rishi Deshpande.

Phyllis began a truly courageous struggle with early-onset Alzheimer's disease in the summer of 2020.
