He was predeceased by: his parents, George F. Howell, Sr. and Mary Grace Howell; and his brothers, Mark and Brian. He is survived by: his wife Mary Best; and his siblings, Gary (Debbie), Steve (Patti), Keith (Julie), Thelma and Jean. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
George moved to Providence Mount St. Vincent (the Mount), in Seattle, Washington, in April of 2024, to receive assistance as he battled living with a rare form of Parkinson's called Multiple Systems Atrophy.
