He was predeceased by: his parents, Virneta Sellars (Guyer) and John D. Sellars; his siblings, Tom Sellars, Jack Kempt, Nathan Sellars, John Sellars and Caroline Surface; his son Rodney Sellars; and his stepson Dale Hendrickson.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Sellars (Ruarke); his children, Nelson Sellars, Cherie Hall and Lorie Deyo; his stepdaughters, Ginger Hendrickson-Donahoe and Joan Hopkins (Roger); his grandchildren, Damian Guilliams, R. L. Tackett (Courtney), Josh Chesnut and Stormie Daniels (Tim); and his brother Lloyd Sellars.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
