He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis Alfred and Lena Burkhalter; his wife Lois Camenzind; and his children, Carmen VanTuyl (Steve), Arleen Burkhalter (Steve Hamilton), Leanne Eko (Brian) and Gary Burkhalter (Susan). He was also cherished by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
