He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Ann Burkhardt; and his parents, Frederick Burkhardt and Eva Amelia Burkhardt. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Alan Burkhardt of Rochester, Michael Wayne Burkhardt, Mary Ellen Burkhardt, Carla Joan Burkhardt and Jennifer Lynn Schwitters. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
