He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Olson and Marie Olson. He is survived by: his children, Dwight, Linda Waltman (Ed) and Kelly (Lori); his grandchildren, Jarrod (Erin), Shane (Courtney), Colby (Karina) and Carrie Waltman; his great grandchildren, Emily, Myah, Bennett, Eleanor and Harrison; and his wife Irene. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
