Lillian (Burruss) Phelps Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lillian (Burruss) Phelps in Richland, Washington, born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Edith May Burruss (Lindsay); her husband Bud Phelps; her parent W. T. "Tom" Burruss, Sr.; her stepmother Leona Burruss; her siblings, Ronald, Leonard, Tom Burruss, Sue Ann Burruss, Barbara Wallace and Donna Hubbard; her grandson Alex Whitmore; and her son-in-law Philip Lee Carpenter.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Church (Bill), Terri Carpenter, Debra Whitmore (David) and Randy Phelps; her siblings, Janice Fulton (John), David Burruss and Michael Burruss (Stacee) of Waynesboro, GA.; and her adoptive son Tony Schab of Arizona. She is also survived by 10 Grand Children, 29 Great Grand Children, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lillian's Memory to: Seattle Children's Hospital Children's Cancer Center, 4800 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105 in honor of Acton Michael Combs.
