He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Braaten and Rosella Braaten; his daughter Dana Kay; and his sisters, Mary Beth Braaten and Joanne Braaten Jones (Gary).
He is survived by: his wife Harrietta; his children, Darrin Braaten (Annette) and Denise Erickson (Dana); and his brothers, John Braaten, Sam Braaten (Connie) and Jim Braaten. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven (soon to be nine) great grandchildren.
