He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd Topping and Ruth Topping; his sons, John (Trish), Patrick (Myrna) and Greg (Jennifer); his wife Barythe "Peggy" Long; his daughter Julie Foster (Robert); his stepchildren, Brent Long (Jennifer), Jerry Long (Debbie) and Valarie Vontourne Setter (Terry); his cousin Diana Sagert (Darrell); and his grandchildren, Nathan, Eddy, Caleb, Katy, Christopher, Paige, Molly, Evan, Austin, Cameron, Dakota, Nicholas, Savanah, Olivia, Jessica, Sean, Joshua, Sam and Parker.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation to the Tall Elks project, Raymond Elks Lodge #1292, for the Tall Elks project.
