He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Taylor Jr. and Grace Taylor; and his wife Laura Taylor. He is survived by : his children, James Taylor (Jenny), Samuel Taylor IV (Patricia), Jennifer Jorgensen and Michael Davis-Taylor (Brandi); and his siblings, Carey, Karen (Kevin) and Sandi (Ken). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mills and Mills Funeral Home (5725 Littlerock Rd SW, Tumwater, WA 98512). A reception was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Rainier Senior Center (108 Michigan St S, Rainier, WA 98576).
