Todd Anthony Pfeifle Obituary
Todd Anthony Pfeifle, 40, of Puyallup, left this world April 4, 2023. He was born in Renton, WA on April 14, 1982 and was adopted by Kenneth and Kathleen Wing Pfeifle (Olson) at seven days old, joining brother Kip Pfeifle, then 5, at their 10-acre home in Kalispell, Montana. His father worked for Republic (now Delta) Airlines, and was transferred to Phoenix, Arizona in 1982. The airline moved them to Memphis, TN in 1985, where Todd attended kindergarten and first grade. He appeared in a McDonald's TV commercial produced by the advertising agency where his mom worked when he was four. The family moved back to Washington in 1989, where his parents had met and married in 1971.
Todd took gymnastics and karate classes at age four. From age seven to 10, he played hockey as a guard and goalie, becoming hooked on the sport after ice skating lessons at Sprinker Recreation Center. He hung up his skates and played basketball, baseball and touch football during middle school, and became an avid snowboarder in High School, a sport he enjoyed until his death. He was also an avid skateboarder and jogger.
Todd graduated from Peninsula High School in 2000. He worked part time at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium Gift Shop and on the Zoolights maintenance team prior to graduation. He was a deejay at the school radio station, and received a scholarship to Bates Technical College where he became a certified sound technician. He completed business management studies at Tacoma Community College to prepare for entrepreneurship.
He spent one ski season working at Crystal Mountain as a groomer and occasional deejay at the pub, which allowed him to snowboard during the day. He became an expert snowboarder whose daring jumps were included in several videos.
Todd worked for Bandstand Music in their Tacoma studio, as well as being a sound technician at the Washington State Fair and other fair events for about 12 years. He also deejayed for weddings, parties and fundraisers and provided backline support for bands at area casinos and gigs. He started his own business, Arsenal Tech in 2020 to provide internet marketing, digital art and photography focusing on the music industry.
He volunteered at Rotary and Zoo events with his mother and stepfather Rick Olson as a sound tech and deejay for many years. He was always willing to help family and friends with projects, even including yardwork and moving furniture.
Todd loved music, snowboarding, skateboarding and indoor gardening. In his own words: "I see myself happy, driven to my goals, manifesting my dreams and envision money flowing my way. My aspiration is entertaining the masses with my music production and playing the biggest festivals in the world, while providing others with a path to their own happiness.".
He was predeceased by his stepbrother Jeffrey Olson, uncle Michael Friesen and his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his father Kenneth Pfeifle, mother Kathleen Olson, stepfather Richard Olson, brother Kip Pfeifle (Suesan), stepbrother Eric Olson (Claire), his biological half-brother, Antonio Ellis and half-sister, Celina Ellis, several cousins, aunts and uncles, his beloved cat Wile-E and numerous friends.
A memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to honor his love of cats to Purrfect Pals Cat Sanctuary & Adoption Centers, https://purrfectpals.org, 230 McRae Road NE, Arlington, WA 98223.
