He was predeceased by: his father Tom. He is survived by: his wife Marge; his children, Steve of Edgewood and Valerie Webber of Summit; his sister Pat Mauer; and his niece Cathy Green. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He served as a volunteer fireman in Fife for twenty-five years, and donated 19 gallons of blood.
