He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorothy Slavich and John "Hooks" Slavich; his wife Donna; his siblings, Dan Slavich, Alan Slavich (Bonnie Marshall) and Judy Richards; his daughters, Shauna Cowan, Stacy Douthitt (Tom) and Shelly Reid (Jason); and his stepchildren, Simone Westby and Dan Westby (Wendy).
