He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Mohler and Sheila Mohler (Simpson). He is survived by: his sisters, Suzanne Foster (Mohler) and Marianne Sweet (Mohler); his brother-in-law Bill Sweet; and his nieces and nephews, Autumn, Olivia, Aidan and Arel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Tacoma Pierce County Fire Rescue Chaplaincy.
