With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katie Mae Nelson of Puyallup, Washington, born in Red Oak, Texas, who passed away on November 1, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy Jenkins and Veronia Jenkins; and her children, April and Habb Nelson. She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie; her son-in-law Elliott Diggs; her siblings, Billie Dove and Henry; her sister-in-law Barbara Jenkins Sr.; her nephew Craig Dove; her great-nephew Adam Dove; her nephew Ken; her niece-in-law Sue Dove; her nephew Marvin; her niece-in-law Christine Dove; her great-niece Jordan Dove; her nephew Henry; her niece-in-law Lashawn Jenkins; her great-nephews, Henry III, Lee, Absolom and Zameal; her great-niece Abigail Jenkins; her nephew Marcell; her niece-in-law Keisha Jenkins; and her great-niece Shayla Jenkins. She is also survived by cousins and great cousins.
