It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hugh A. Shelley Jr. of Puyallup, Washington, who passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh A. Shelley Sr. and Annie M. Shelley (Johnson); his wives, Sawako Kawai and Marcia; his siblings, Mary St. Lawrence, Neal, Gale and Walt Shelley; his sister-in-law Evelyn Shelley-Quinn; and his niece Sally Payne.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Shelley, Jim Starkey, John Starkey, Christine Dobbins (Jim), Carol Shelley and Diane Castor; his grandchildren, Jessica Peterson (Jonathon), Shawna Cross (Landon), Benjamin Shelley, Nicholas Shelley (Emily), Cory Dobbins and Ian Shelley (Bonnie); and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Shelley and Carol Shelley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and ten great grandchildren and the many friends.
