The memory of Fred Hoskins of Puyallup, Washington, born in Monroe, Michigan, who passed away on June 16, 2024 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by : his father Day; his son Deacon Reginald "Reggie" Hoskins (Myleen) of Puerto Princesa; his daughter-in-law Lannie Hoskins; and his siblings, Manuel Hoskins Jr., Robert Hoskins, Jessie Miller and Ernestine Johnson.

He is survived by : his wife Brunhilde Johnson-Hoskins (Johnson); his son Preston Hoskins of Lawton, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Ralph Johnson of Bonney Lake, Hope Figueroa (Jonas) of Spring Hill and Regina Stuart (Ed) of Aransas Pass, Texas; his daughters-in-law, Joanne Hoskins Wesbey of Toano and Yvette Chenault-Hoskins of Lawton, Oklahoma; and his sisters, Bernice Bates (Samuel) of Ypsilanti, Wanda Montaque of Monroe, Michigan and Leola Jett (Lymon) of Monroe, Michigan. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home and Crematory (9212 Chambers Creek Rd W, Tacoma, WA 98467). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 11th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Tahoma National Cemetery (18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042).

He was a prostate cancer survivor and fought "the good" fight against Alzheimer's. Fred Hoskins died on Father's Day, Sunday, June 16, 2024.
