She was predeceased by: her husband Donald McDonald; her son Mitchel McDonald; her sister Cathy Slead (Cady); and her parents, Henry Clayton Casteel and Hattie Casteel (Norris).

She is survived by: her children, Douglas McDonald, Shannon McDonald, Jenifer Hicks and Cindy McDonald; her grandchildren, Derek McDonald (Michelle), Kelvin McDonald (Ada) and Gabriela McDonald; and her great grandchild Ania. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and brothers and sisters in-law.
