He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Tate and Lucile Tate (Harrington); and his daughters, Pamela Jacobs and Jodi Pound. He is survived by: his wife Carol Osmundson; his son Michael Tate (Liz) of Spokane; his sons-in-law, Michael Pound and Jim Jacobs; his grandchild Jamie Beard (Dex); his sons-in-law, Matt Jacobs (Serree) and Ryan Pound; and his great grandchildren, Brett Beard, Von Beard and Bailee Mae Jacobs.

The family suggests memorial donations in Wayne's honor to Pullman American Legion Post.
