He is survived by: his children, Cactus Merrill of Harper, Oregon, Jack Merrill (Tena) of Potlatch, Idaho, Treva Beebe (Pete) of Potlatch, Idaho and Joe Merrill (Angela) of Pullman, Washington.; and his sister Karen Mitzimberg (Ed) of Garfield, Washington. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
