She was predeceased by: her siblings, Dyllis, Bonnie, Dorothy, Marjorie, Paul, Eugene and Robert.
She is survived by: her children, Sheryl (David Kimes), Steve (Margo Pubols), Mark (Michelle Pubols) and Martha (Mike Walpole); her sisters, Rosemary and Ruth; her husband Merton; her grandchildren, Jeff (Caro Kimes), Emily (Scott Cornish), Katy Kimes, Kyle (Kellie Pubols), Blair (Jessica Pubols), Janelle Pubols and Jessica Mathison (Connor Mathison); and also, Lyla, Calvin, Avery and Barrett.
Donations in Joan's memory can be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church for Children's Ministry or to Alzheimer's Disease Research.
