He was predeceased by: his parents, Walt Petersen and Alma Petersen (Hoenike); and his sister Nancy Petersen. He is survived by: his siblings, Ellen Haarsma of Grandview, Elsie Petersen of Bonney Lake and Jerry Petersen of Troy, Montana. He is also survived by four nephews and 1 niece.
