It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Philip Lee Johnston of Port Townsend, Washington, born in Zenda, Kansas, who passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Darlene Johnston, Jean Johnston, Norma Eggert and Ruth Messmer; his former wife Glea Johnston; his granddaughter Janie Hansen; and his parents, Arthur Johnston and Evelyn Johnston (Bort).
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Glea Smith; his granddaughter Anna Lewis of Checotah; his great grandchildren, Lydia, Eion, Natalie, Colton, Seth and Faith; and his brother-in-law Lyle Smith (Donna). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services (restricted to invited guests wearing masks) will be held on Tuesday, September 14th at 10 A. M. in the Norwich United Methodist Church, with Pastor Cathy Holley officiating.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Norwich High School Alumni Scholarship Foundation through Livingston Funeral Home at 1830 N. Main, Kingman, KS 67068 or at the service.
