She was predeceased by: her parents, John Newton and Carolyn Newton (Stone); her son Kenneth McGuffey Jr.; and her siblings, Eugene Newton, Eunice Wilfong (Newton), Edward Newton, Stone Newton and Tracy Newton.
She is survived by: her husband Stephen May; her daughter Pamela Sakurada (Michael); her grandchildren, Lance Sakurada (Madi), Matthew Sakurada (Chelsie), Collin McGuffey, Chad Sakurada, Zach Sakurada, Bryan Sakurada, Jenna McGuffey (Scott) and Alyssa Moulton (Tyler); and her siblings, Ralph Newton (Kay), Maxine Pryde (Don), Pattinell Heape (Bob), Dewight Newton (Vera), Elaine Townsend (Bob), Inez Shipp and Wade Newton (Nancy). She is also survived by five beautiful great grandchildren.
