He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bonnie Shaw and Virgil Shaw (Bill); his wife Delores; his former wife Helen Kitterman; his son John Gordon; his daughter-in-law Shay; his grandchildren, Derek, Brittney and Logan; his nephew Jason; and also Brad. He was also cherished by three great grandchildren, three brothers.

“Hi- Richard Conley (now Wegermann-Conley) here. I am the half brother to Jason Shaw- the step son to Don Shaw I haven't seen anyone in years. I am sorry to hear of Big John's passing, I've thought of him and the family often remembering running around the ranch with the kids.
