She was predeceased by: her parents, Toyojiro Maeda and Sakayo Maeda; her sister Margie "Rieko" Sumitani (Hawaii); her children, Rodney Seril, Abraham Seril and Susan Seril; her granddaughter Heather Esslinger; and her great great grandchild Hezekiah.
She is survived by: her siblings, Donald "Mitsuru" Maeda (Hawaii), Richard "Taiga" Maeda (Hawaii), Iris "Fujie" Oda (Hawaii), Itoe Helliangao (Hawaii) and Shimae Leilani Maeda (California); and her children, Milton Maeda (Illinois), Darrel Seril (Hawaii), Wesley Seril (Elvie) of California, Roberta Da Rosa (Rhode Island), Teresa Esslinger (Olympia), Sheila Esslinger (Olympia), Kathleen Shepp (Patrick Shepp) of Olympia, Debra Ann Roper (Carl Roper) of Olympia and Jimmy Esslinger (Olympia). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 22 great grand children and 2 great great grandchildren.
