She was predeceased by: her siblings, Robert Brown, Bud Brown (Alva) and Rose. She is survived by: her parents, Alva Brown and Edna Brown; her husband Robert (Bob); her brother Raymond Brown; and her children, Joni, Jim, Sue, Tim and Deb. She is also survived by two grandchildren (Jesse and Jacob), and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations in memory of Ruth can be made to Lutheran Church of the Good Shephard in Olympia WA.
