She was predeceased by: her parents, Jean Simmons and Robert Simmons. She is survived by: her husband Paul M. McGowan; her children, Suzanne M. Blue (David) of Bothell, WA and Marc M. McGowan (Katrina) of Olympia, WA.; her siblings, Mary J. Bittrich of Hampton, NH, Allen H. Simmons of Quincy, MA, Jane Rothenburg-Simmons (Jill) of Boston, MA and Bobby Simmons (Amy) of Fitchburg, MA.; and her grandchildren, Kain A. Linich and Rowan G. Linich of Bothell, WA.. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
