He was predeceased by: his father Glenn Edward Pender; and his stepfather Robert Swafford. He is survived by: his mother Joan Gertrude Riley Pender; his wife Christina Lynn Pender; his sons, Robert Michael Pender, Joseph Alexander Pender and Matthew John Pender (Leah Pender); his granddaughter Melissa Pender-Gschwend (Sanford Gschwend); and his siblings, Cindy Patrick, Patricia Pender and Glenn Pender.
