She was predeceased by: her parents, George Koch and Helen Koch; her brother Charles W. McDermed; and her great-grandparent Donnie Walker. She is survived by: her children, Vernon L. Sterling Jr. of Olympia and Vickey L. McGlosson of Charlotte; and her granddaughters, Nina Sebastian and Jessica Chacon of Olympia. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
