He is survived by: his siblings, David Carney of Palm Springs, California, Ellen Saxby (late Donald Saxby) of Minnetonka and Eido Frances Carney of Olympia; his niece Deborah Steele (David McGimpsy) of Belfast; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jessica Molner, Nicholas Destabelle, Wyatt Destabelle, Julian Thomet and Esther Thomet.
