He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Barney and Catherine Schmidt; and his sister Barbara Carey. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Barney (Ruchty); his sons, Roger (Rebecca), Jay (Lori) and Mark (Sue); and his brother John Barney (Joanne). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
