He is survived by: his son Michael; his brothers, Hondo Layes (Enid) of Olympia, Ed Layes (Dani) of Clarkston, Terry Layes (Sandra) of Culdesac and Gerry Layes (Christine) of Lewiston, Idaho; and his girlfriend Shelly Blevins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
