He was predeceased by: his parents, June I. Hammond (Froistad) and John H. Nelson; his stepfather Robert Hammond (Bob); and his sons, Craig Nelson and Wayne Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary C. Nelson (Chitty); his daughter Kristina Leopold (Nelson); his grandchildren, Maddison, Charlotte and Matthew (Junior); his brother Alan; and his cousins, Charlene and Norma. He is also survived by sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and his nieces and nephews.
The family requests donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Northwest Parkinson's Foundation in memory of Elvin Thomas Nelson.
