He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Irene Hernandez Ruiz and Aurelio Ortiz; his wife Colleen; and his children, Lisa Marie Ortiz, Edilberto Ortiz, Jr., Rebecca Irene Ortiz, Marisa Kathleen Ortiz, Erica Rene VanOgle, Daniel Steven Winter and Leticia Evette Ortiz. He was also cherished by his four brothers and two sisters; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
