He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Erling Aarthun and Helen Aarthun (Wiberg); his former wife Rosmary Miller; and his son-in-law Jon Taylor Ponsford. He is survived by: his daughters, Kirsten Aarthun of Olympia and April Malcom of Lincoln, Nebraska; his grandson William Malcom (Mackenzie); and his sisters, Janice Hallanger (Chris) and Ruth Ann Syverson (Roger). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
