It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy J Elkins of Oakesdale, Washington, who passed away on July 21, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Ellis and Gladys Pittman Ellis; and her husband William "Bill" Elkins. She is survived by: her children, Bill Elkins (Amy) of Oakesdale, Donna Elkins, Rick Newman of Spokane, David Elkins (Shelly) of Oakesdale and Jodi Elkins-Desforges (Chris Desforges) of New York; and her siblings, Judith D. Gibbs of Sandusky, OH, Lonny Ellis of Oakesdale and Larry Ellis. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Community Presbyterian Church of Oakesdale, the Lilac Services for the Blind Foundation or to the Oakesdale Fire Department.
