“Dear Toft Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I first knew Captain Toft as a helpful VA-128 RAG instructor when I was a newly winged NFO learning about the mighty Intruder. Toward the end of our careers, Captain Toft was the Director of Aviation Safety at the Naval Postgraduate School. I was an aircraft mishap investigator at the Naval Safety Center. He asked RDML Finney, if he would let me go to Monterey to teach. We had a wonderful tour and are ever grateful for the opportunity. God bless.”
