Katherine Van Ry Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine Van Ry of Oak Harbor, Washington, who passed away on September 3, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Scheffer and Frances Scheffer (Zwiers); her siblings, Hank, Bert, Joe, John, Cornelia, Alberta, Harriet and Marie; her former husband Bill De Hoog; her son Brent De Hoog; and her stepchildren, Randy Van Ry, Denny Van Ry and Nancy Vander Haak.
She is survived by: her children, Kent De Hoog (Gail) of Lynden and Judy Parsons (Randy) of Lynden; her stepson-in-law Larry Vander Haak of Lynden; and her sister Jeannie Mutic (Lloyd) of Ferndale. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six step grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and 12 step great grandchildren.
