He was predeceased by: his father Larry Adkins; his siblings, Donald Adkins and Joy Adkins; and his stepfather Norman Schimke. He is survived by: his daughters, Karly Adkins (George Ploghoft) and Kayla Marvulli; his granddaughters, Payton and Remi; his mother Barbara Schimke-Van (Martin); his nephews, Jake Adkins (Mallory) and Justin Adkins (Theresa); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Elsie, Scarlett, Cyrus, Henry, Penny and Ava; and his sister-in-law Linda Adkins. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Doug's name to the Special Olympics, Toy's for Tot's, Sight Life, Burlington Eagles Scholarship Fund or a charity of your choice.
