He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlene May Shoopman Lawrence and Edgar Henry Lawrence; his siblings, Sharon Strickland, Sheila and Marco; and his grandsons, Dason Eugene Lawrence and Bryan Lee Ross.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Irene Roop Lawrence; his children, Samuel W, Rose Starnes, H. Leigh, Doug Ross, Staci I, Wayne Duncan, Kenneth J Lawrence, Adrian D, Esther Lawrence, Beth C and Chuck Wood; and his siblings, Ben Lawrence, Zachariah Lawrence, Zebediah Lawrence, Carrol Compton, Darlene Buckley, Ellen Shaver, Zella Harrington, Zorrelda Lawrence and Znell Lawrence. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
