She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Max Minoru Uyeda; her siblings, Carolyn Takemoto, Marie Kanegae, Nancy Hayatsu (John), Marjorie Nakagawa, Russell Nakagawa and Dean Nakagawa (Susan); and her sister-in-law Toshie Uyeda. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
