He was predeceased by: his father Gary L. Schafer; and his grandparents, Jack Huerd, Larene Huerd, Robert Bibb and Audie Lou Bibb.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his daughters, Holly Fouts (Stephen) and Heidi Noble (Drew); his granddaughter Olivia Fouts; his mother Mary Kay Smith; and his brother Jon Schafer (Kelly). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Cottage in the Meadow in care of Brookside Funeral Home (PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936).
