She was predeceased by: her spouse Roger James. She is survived by: her siblings, Barbara of Des Moines, Janet (Brad) of Olympia, Rosemary of Olympia, John (Ann) of Lacey and Frank (Michele) of Marina. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews, one great-great nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christian Appalachian Project, Arlene's favorite charity.
