He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Counsell and Lillian Counsell; and his brother Mark. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Kris (Lee), Jon (Marianne) and Mike (Kim); his granddaughters, Danielle, Kailey and Kodie; his stepgrandchildren, Taylor, Reese, Carson and Tori; his brother Dale Counsell (Charlene); and his brother-in-law Charles Schwab (Dee). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
