He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jessie and Roy Garrison; his son Daniel Restau; his wife Betty McOmber; his grandson Brandon Gibson; his son Dale Restau (Rhonda) of Lebanon, Oregon; and his stepchildren, Denise Shanks (Robert) of Vancouver, Cathy Zavala (Ray) of Arizona, Ken Ecklund of Blaine and Kimberly Gibson of Aberdeen, Wash.. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
